Carnival Cruise Lines CASE STUDY

Making food ordering process easy and from anywhere on the board.

 

THE PROBLEM STATEMENT

How can food be ordered even without being physically present in the restaurant.

•It becomes time consuming sitting and waiting for food while it is being prepared

• Unawareness of menu items .

• Can food be ordered while the guest onboard are enjoying a theater show or while availing the SPA service .

• Get the orders ready and on time for the guests.

 

MY ROLE

This project intends to create a service where my role is comprised of end to end responsibilities incorporated with User Interview, User research, User experience design, and UI design. The input of the cruise staff members explaining the pain points of the onboarded guests, becomes a valuable feedback. This helps the Cruise business as well by providing a seamless experience to their guests.

DESIGN THINKING was the process that I followed with a user-centric approach to every process. A heuristic approach was much required as the Guests onboard were there to enjoy the vacation and not understand the working of the application.

It included the entire UX cycle from Exploration to creation, from ideation to prototyping, and finally testing with the stakeholders and appointed CX cruise officials.
